Mario Šestak’s is an experienced designer who created an online class called “Flawless Typography”. It is a part of the Awwwards academy online courses for designers and developers. To promote Mario’s class, we created a video trailer. The idea was to place typography at the center of the video, so we dug through Mario’s portfolio to explore the various typography he used in his designs. Then we employed his typographic treatments to highlight the key messages of the video’s narration. That way, the viewer can focus equally on both the audio and visual aspects. With the footage, Mario’s voiceover, and typographic subtitling, we simultaneously introduce viewers to their teacher and the quality of his work. The video is a collaboration with Mario Šestak and Bornfight agency.
We balanced filmed footage and motion graphics for optimal contrast.
